10 Re-use, Recycling and Waste

"About 48% of controlled waste comes from the demolition of buildings, 22% from industry, 17% from households and 13% from businesses. Around 3% of waste, or half a million tonnes, is currently collected for recycling. Nearly all of our controlled waste (about 90%) is buried underground in landfill sites."
