This includes a weekend workshop called EcoCities was run by GAIA with local school children in the Dumbiedykes area of Edinburgh. This project examined taking on board the views of the children in re-designing their area of Edinburgh and culminated in a presentation by the children to their parents teachers and local council representatives.

In addition, a prototype for an interactive game was developed and piloted.
My Sust House has since been developed to address the needs of younger and older children (age range around 8 – 14) and will be included in Learning and Teaching Scotland’s website resources for Sustainability Education.

Working with Radius Glasgow, we sponsored a public art and technology ideas project, Community Green, which was exhibited at the Lighthouse in April/ May as part of the Spring 2006 Spotlight.

Sust. also works closely with the Lighthouse’s Education Team on joint sustainability and environmental projects including contributions to the Future Learning and Teaching (FLaT) Design for Learning: 21st Century Schools, programme involving young people in decision making around Scotland.
