Case Studies

A number of excellent examples of sustainable buildings already exist in Scotland. This section identifies a range of building types that combine a sustainable design approach while ensuring that the design quality and social environmental factors are integral to the outcome of the delivery process.

Case Studies

This section is continually upgraded and current and forthcoming examples show different approaches to sustainable design in schools, office buildings, housing, visitor centres including the approach taken by Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Glencoe Visitor Centre, and other community buildings, including the award winning Recycling Centre and A’Chrannag housing projects on Bute and the McLaren Sport Centre in Callendar. Examples of infrastructural approaches to sustainability have focused on transportation in Belgium.
