Training and guidance is important when embracing new concepts or demands on organisations. The Six Cities Workshops set out to help local authorities in each of Scotland's cities to consider and address sustainability issues as they relate to existing performance criteria of Well Built and Best Value.

The workshops were interactive and resulted in a series of recommendations and proposed actions to better address sustainable design in building projects within local authorities.

The workshops were led by Dr Roger Talbot of Thirdwave Scotland Ltd.

In association with Sust., the work is currently being developed into a web-based resource by Roger Talbot Associates Ltd. in conjunction with the Sustainability Centre at Caledonian University.
